Ellen G White did not as "cults" are described. she did not lead people to desolate lives...> cults are described as satanism, killings, other crimes, castrations, hidden places, despotism, abuses, drugs, alcohol, and poisonings, witchcraft=necromancy, sorcery.
Claudia describes her life , that it was of Bible reading, and Visions. Self reform and read the scriptures which became a "model" though her own leader was Christ.
[herein understand the reading level of people of her times and the accessibility of scriptures to the people], and thinking about drawing a correlation(simularity) of leadership of MOSES and the Israelites(who were Egyptian slaves without holy writ, or place to worship their own God.)
It is the people's fault to make it otherwise then what Ellen found and told. "meritorious" living is not a crime before God. Nor does it make us fit for heaven...(we know it is CHRIST ALONE FOR OUR SALVATION) ELLEN DID WHAT SHE BELIEVED AND THE OUTGROWTH WAS SCHOOLS, HOSPITALS, AND CHURCHES, WHERE MANY HAVE THRIVED , CAME TO GOD AND LIVED BETTER THEN THEY HAD HOPED PRIOR TO KNOWING ADVENTISM. THOSE OF US, LIKE AS WAS I, WHO WERE BORN INTO THEN BAPTISED, BELIEF IN "JESUS SAVES", WERE NOT THREATEN BY WHAT ELLEN WHITE'S MESSAGES MEANT TO EVERYDAY LIVING.
IF A "GUIDE" LEADS YOU TO RAPE, PILLAGE, PLUNDER, KILL, ABUSE, FEAR, STEAL, AND DEATH CAMPS, THEN GO SOMEPLACE ELSE.
